FACT 1:
WE MUST REALIZE WE NEED A SAVIOR.(Until man understands he needs a personal Saviour, he will never commit his life to Jesus.) The Bible teaches there are two reasons why we need a Saviour. - Because of What We Are. (we are sinners) Romans 3:23, James 2:10
- Because of the Results of Our Sin. (eternity in hell) Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:14-15, James 2:10
- Because of the Results of Our Sin. (eternity in hell) Romans 6:23
FACT 2:WE MUST REALIZE WE CONNOT SAVE OURSELVES.Ephesians 2:8-9 (Man is continually trying to reach God through good works, church membership, baptism, sacraments, etc) No matter how hard man tries to reach God, he cannot do it himself. Man is a sinner, and his SIN seperates man from God. It takes someone better (more righteous) than ourselves to save us because we are sinners.
FACT 3:
WE MUST REALIZE JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE US.John 14:6 (There is NO other Saviour). (Man is united with God ONLY through the PERFECT blood of Jesus.) The Bible teaches that God required a blood sacrifice of a PERFECT man BEFORE man's sin could EVER be paid for. Jesus came to this earth and lived that PERFECT life. This made Jesus the ONLY one ELIGIBLE to die up on the cross and shed the PERFECT blood to pay for man's sin. John 3:17FACT 4:JESUS BECOMES OUR SAVIOUR WHEN WE LET HIM BECOME OUR LORD.Romans 6:23God gives us the gift of eternal life when we accept Christ as LORD. A LORD is a Master, Ruler or King. There must be a time when we COMMIT our life to Jesus, as our LORD. It is not enough to know these four FACTS or even to believe them because..... FINAL FACT:THERE MUST BE A TIME WHEN WE RECEIVE CHRIST.John 1:12 (Christ MUST come INTO us to ever SAVE us.) |
