Tips And Tricks

The Modular Template Package consists of a template and three modules that work together to create a very customizable template. In the following few pages I will give some examples of the numerous possibilities this has for anyone that uses it for their site.
INSTALLATION

The very first thing you need to do if you have not already is install the entire package. After you download it from MamboForge you will need to unzip it to get the ReadMe.txt file and each installable zip file.

Template Installation

We should install the template first and get it ready to use the modules. Just install as you would normally with any template. Once installed, set it as default. Now that it is installed you should see something similiar to the image below:

Module Installation

Before we install the modules we need to first create their positions. To do this we will need to goto the Module Positions screen. See the image below in how to do this:

Now that we are there we need to enter in the following positions:

  • header
  • content
  • footer

To enter these positions, see the images below for an example:

Now that you have the module positions created you can install all three modules as you would any other.

Now that they are installed we need assign and publish them. More than likely the modules will not be on the first page in the Module Manager. You will need to browse through the pages to locate them. More than likely they will be on the last page. If you click on each module to edit them you will need to assign each one to its own position. For an example, see the images below:

Once assigned and published you should see something similiar to the image below, which is the default installation with all the default settings.
